This Privacy Policy describes how Rizom-Lab SAS (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us”, “Rizom-Lab,” or the “Company”) will make use of your personal information when you access or use Rizom-Lab’s website; access or use any Rizom-Lab proprietary software products which have been licensed to you (“Software“). These are referred to collectively as the “Services” in this Privacy Policy. Personal Information is also collected and used when you otherwise interact with Rizom-Lab (for example, by contacting Rizom-Lab’s customer support team). This Privacy Policy also describes the choices and legal rights you have with respect to Rizom-Lab’s collection and use of your Personal Information, including your right to object to processing in certain circumstances. Further information on your rights is set out in the “Your Data Protection Rights” section. This Privacy Policy may be updated from time-to-time, so please review it frequently. The date on which this Privacy Policy was last revised is included at the top of the Privacy Policy. 

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES RIZOM-LAB PROCESS?

Rizom-Lab collects and processes your personal information when you use the Services or otherwise interact with Rizom-Lab. This includes:

  • Name;
  • Username;
  • E-mail address;
  • Customer license category;
  • Country;
  • Payment/billing information (where Services are paid for);
  • Orders historical;
  • Information about your access and use of the Services (such as aspects of the Services accessed and customer support information);
  • Your comments or questions if you choose to participate in the community forums on our Discord; and
  • Any communications that you send to Rizom-Lab (such as emails), including the content thereof.

The information described above is only collected from you.

PURPOSES AND LAWFUL BASIS OF DATA PROCESSING

Rizom-Lab processes Personal Information for the following purposes:

To fulfil a contract or take steps linked to a contract. This is relevant where you purchase or use free Rizom-Lab Services.

In particular: 

  • Providing you with Rizom-Lab Services for which you have registered and any other Services that you have requested;
  • Verifying your identity;
  • Processing payments;
  • Communicating with you; and
  • Providing customer services and arranging provisions of the Services.

As required by Rizom-Lab to conduct its business and pursue its legitimate interests, or those of a third party. In particular:

  • Providing you with access to the Services for which you have registered and any other Services you have requested;
  • Checking the validity of the sort code, account number and card number you submit in order to prevent fraud, where you make a payment using a credit or debit card;
  • Analyzing your use of our Services, and your interaction with our communications to tailor and customize the Services and marketing communications (where your consent is not required);
  • Analyzing your use and measuring the effectiveness of our Website to better understand how they are being used so we can improve them;
  • Monitoring access and use of the Services to ensure compliance with any applicable licenses or terms and conditions of use;

  • Responding to requests by government or law enforcement authorities conducting an investigation; and
  • Detecting, preventing, or otherwise addressing fraud, security, potentially illegal activities, or technical issues and software piracy (e.g., to confirm that software is genuine and properly licenced), helping to protect you as well as Rizom-Lab.

Rizom-Lab ensures that only authorised persons have access to Personal Information. 

Personal Information is shared by Rizom-Lab:

  • With companies, organizations or individuals outside of Rizom-Lab if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, as well as to protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Rizom-Lab, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law;
  • When you agree to the sharing;
  • When we have a good faith belief that we are required to provide information in response to a subpoena, court order, or other applicable law or legal process, or to respond to an emergency involving the danger of death or serious bodily harm;

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS? YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

Under the laws of some jurisdictions, you may have the right to ask Rizom-Lab for a copy of your Personal Information; to correct, delete or restrict (stop any active) processing of your personal information; and to obtain the personal information you provide to Rizom-Lab for a contract or with your consent in a structured, machine-readable format.  In addition, you can object to the processing of your Personal Information in some circumstances (in particular, where Rizom-Lab does not have to process the data to meet a contractual or another legal requirement, or where Rizom-Lab is using the data for direct marketing). You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing, or profiling carried out for direct marketing, at any time. You can do this at any time, by unsubscribing from the Rizom-Lab’s marketing list through the link at the bottom of each email, by sending a request to contact@rizom-lab.com or by contacting us using the details provided at the end of this Privacy Policy. These rights may be limited, for example, if fulfilling your request would reveal personal information about another person, or if you ask Rizom-Lab to delete information which it is required by law to keep or for which we need to defend claims against us. Rizom-Lab will inform you of any relevant exemptions relied upon when responding to any request you make. In addition, most web browsers have a “Do Not Track” feature that lets you tell websites you do not want to have your online activities tracked. Currently, there is no accepted standard on how companies should respond to web browser’s “Do Not Track” signals. Accordingly, our Website does not currently recognize or respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. To exercise any of these rights (including deactivating your Rizom-Lab account), you can get in touch with us – or our data protection officer – using the details set out below. If you have unresolved concerns, you may also have the right to complain to a local data protection authority.  

YOUR RIGHT TO WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT

When the data processing Rizom-Lab carries out is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time, although Rizom-Lab may have other legal grounds for processing your Personal Information for other purposes, such as those set out earlier in this Privacy Policy. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of data processing based on the consent that took place before the withdrawal. If you do not want to receive marketing emails from Rizom-Lab anymore, you can, at any time, unsubscribe from Rizom-Lab through’s marketing list through the link at the bottom of each email, by sending a request to contact@rizom-lab.com or by contacting us using the details provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.

HOW LONG DOES RIZOM-LAB KEEP YOUR DATA?

When you register for an account and create a Rizom-Lab ID, we process and keep the most personal information we have about you for as long as you are an active user of our Services. When you close your account, we begin deleting certain personal information that we no longer have a business reason to retain. Where we process personal information for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the information until you ask us to stop and for a short period after this(to allow us to implement When you register for an account and create a Rizom-Lab ID, we process and keep the most personal information we have about you for as long as you are an active user of our Services. IS PROVIDING PERSONAL DATA MANDATORY?

To enable Rizom-Lab to be able to create your account, take payment (where relevant), and provide you with Rizom-Lab Services, provision of certain Personal Information is mandatory. If you do not provide Rizom-Lab with the relevant Personal Information, you will not be able to access Rizom-Lab Services. All other provision of your information is optional.
